    A week in New York dedicated to Croatian tourism and Croatian wines!

    The Croatian National Tourist Board and its Representative Office in the USA will present the Croatian tourism offer at the "New York Travel & Adventure Show", which will be held on January 25th and 26th at the Javits Convention Center in New York.

    For the first time, Croatia will present itself as a Partner Country of the fair, with attractive performances and presentations of Croatian tourist destinations as part of the "Croatian Pavilion" at stand #233. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet Nikola Tesla from Lika, experience the rich heritage and inexhaustible charm of Kvarner, take photos with a Moreška dancer from Korčula, and feel the soul of Dalmatia. Programme includes tastings of top Croatian wines, prize games and numerous surprises, while a special presentation of Croatia will be held on Sunday, with the participation of the Director of the Croatian Tourism Board Kristjan Staničić and the Minister of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina.

    Over 25.000 visitors are expected during the two-day fair. In addition to the Croatian National Tourist Board, 29 other partner from Croatia will promote our country as a top tourist destination, especially for tourists from this, our most important, distant market. Among them are the Zagreb City Tourist Board, the Lika-Senj County Tourist Board, the Kvarner Tourist Board, the Šibenik-Knin County Tourist Board, the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board, Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa, Valamar Holiday Hotels & Resorts, Ambasaador Travel and others. The Croatian Ambassador to the USA, Pjer Šimunović, and the Croatian Ambassador to the UN, Ivan Šimonović, have also confirmed their arrival at the fair.

    Premiere of a film about Istria and tasting of Istrian wines

    This week in New York, the beauties of Istria will be presented at a special event. On Tuesday, January 21st, the Neuehouse will host a private premiere of the award-winning film “OH THE PEOPLE YOU MEET with Michaela Guzy in Istria, Croatia”. The program begins at 17:30 PM with a tasting of Istrian wines with Croatian Premium Wines. After the screening, one lucky winner will have the opportunity to win a prize trip to Istria, inspired by this film.

    Croatian wine tasting in Manhattan

    Friday, January 24th will also be all about Croatian wines. Croatian Premium Wine Imports is organizing a free wine tasting in the Grape House area. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste new vintages of Croatian wines – from Graševina and an unusual blend of Plavac and Babić, to the aged and elegant Plavac Mali.

    "Taste Central Dalmatia” at Delmonico`s

    On Tuesday, January 28th Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board will present the rich culture and flavors of central Dalmatia at Delmonico's restaurant. Croatian chefs Željko Neven Bremec and Jadran Grančić will showcase the charms of Dalmatian Mediterranean cuisine, while visitors will enjoy traditional 'marendas' and top-quality local wines. The evening's moderator Lou Young, an eight-time Emmy winner, will take guests on an unforgettable journey through the beauty and flavors of Dalmatia.
