Croatia is the 9th country in the world in terms of the number of medals won per million inhabitants!

Another Olympic Games has ended, where sportsmen and women from all over the world showed their sports skills and did their best to win the best possible result for their country. Croatia had representatives in a total of 15 different sports in Paris, and we won a total of 7 medals, and according to this result, we took 30th place in terms of medals in the competition of all countries.

Luka Kobeščak, an expert in Excel and other programs from the Office package, who, in addition to his business success, is also known for his engagement on the Internet and social networks, has published an analysis of the statistical performance of Croatia at the Olympic Games.

"Data analysis is a very important aspect of every business, but also interesting to do in the field of sports, especially for such a big event as the Olympic Games. So through the analysis, I found out what Croatia is like in terms of the number of medals won per million inhabitants, since it is realistically much easier to find 1000 top athletes out of 10 people, than 100 of them.", Luka Kobeščak, who is himself a fan and follower of sports, as well as sports statistics, pointed out his motivation for this analysis - which is not a surprise considering his professional business career.

Here are some interesting results of that analysis by number of medals:

    1. Croatia is the 9th country in the world in terms of the number of medals won per million inhabitants

    2. Croatia is the 4th country in Europe in terms of the number of medals won per million inhabitants

    3. Regarding the top 10 countries in the world with the most medals, only Australia and the Netherlands are ahead of us

    4. Considering the countries from our area, Croatia is in 1st place (Slovenia, Kosovo, Serbia, Albania and Croatia)

    5. If we look only at countries with less than 5 million inhabitants, Croatia is in the top 5th place

    6. If we look at countries that are 2,5 times larger than us, that is, with up to 10 million inhabitants, we are in excellent 7th place in the world
