Croatia and Croatian tourism continue to achieve great success. She confirmed that jubilee 10th festive award prestigious American tourism awards Travvy Awards, often called "tourism Oscars", which was held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center in Florida.
Namely, Croatia belonged silver in the category the best destinations in the Mediterranean te row in the category the best cruise destinations in Europe, while Croatian tourist agency celebrated the silver award in the category the best European tourist organizations. The first place in this category went to the national tourism organization of Greece, while the bronze went to Ireland.
"The entire Croatian tourism sector can be proud of the prestigious awards we received. It is an extremely valuable confirmation of recognition and competitiveness on the global market, which we have achieved thanks to continuous joint work and effort. I am especially pleased with the silver award in the category of the best European tourist organization, because it is proof that the Croatian Tourist Board manages promotional projects and activities with quality, both in Europe and around the world. This recognition is also a reward for all HTZ employees, of whom I am extremely proud and to whom I am immensely grateful. I am glad that our country enjoys the status of a safe, attractive and interesting tourist destination, which was confirmed by the votes of American tour operators and travel agents, as well as the general public.", he said Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian Tourist Board.
The ceremony was attended by more than 500 participants, and she received the awards in front of the Croatian Tourist Board Leila Krešić-Jurić, Director of the CNTB Representation in New York.
"Hold in your hands the so-called the tourist Oscars is a special feeling that provides us with additional motivation in further positioning Croatia in America, our most important distant market from which we generate the largest tourist traffic. These awards are a reflection of the commitment and engagement of the Croatian Tourist Board to present our country in the best possible light, which certainly contributes to attracting American guests to Croatian regions throughout the year.", She said Krešić-Jurić.
Annual awards Travvy Awards behind which are the portal TravelPulse.com and the magazine AGENTatHOME, are awarded in the organization Northstar Travel Group, the largest US media group in the tourism and travel sector, all with the goal of highlighting the best examples of excellence and achievement in the tourism industry.
