Trio Gust, known for their Dalmatian sound, have a new song "Child of the Sea", which will be presented at this year's 27. Dalmatian chanson in Šibenik on Saturday, August 24. This song in Chakavian, of a slower and melodic nature, expresses the connection with the sea, which, as the lyrics say, is the "mother" of those who grow and live by it.
"Child of the Sea" is a real Dalmatian ballad that celebrates the sea, and the song evokes images of a life spent next to waves, ships and fishing nets. He signs the production of the video AVS studio from Split, while the cameramen are Igor Pjevac and Marijo Krište, who also directed the video. Filming took place on Murter, in a shipyard of wooden ships owned by the owner Marko Bašić-Bačvar. As the musicians say, Bašić was their sponsor because he made the best octopus brujet, which greatly contributed to the pleasant atmosphere. The rest of the video was shot in Kornati, and the base port was the island of Žut.
One thing is certain - the upcoming performance at the Dalmatian chanson in Šibenik will be an opportunity for this song to shine brightly and to once again confirm the importance of the sea in the lives of Dalmatians. This legendary trio from Split has been working in the same composition for four decades, and their first studio album "Trio Gušt Split" they published in 1985. Their album titles, such as "Fešta", "Dernek", "Tulum Domjenak", "Fajrunt", "Šušur", clearly depict the character of their songs. Whether they perform covers or their own original songs, Trio Gušt always brings joy and happiness to his listeners.
