    German tourists are the most numerous in Imotska Krajina

    Tourists like to spend their summer on the Adriatic, but they are increasingly enjoying far from the sea, as evidenced by the data from TZ Imota, according to which August was 20 percent more successful for renters in Imotska Krajina than last year.

    Luka Kolovrat, director of the Imota Tourist Board, is satisfied with these results:

    "We have 607 renters, and our accommodation facilities achieved 7.726 arrivals and 63.839 overnight stays in August, which is an increase of 20% in arrivals and 12% in overnight stays compared to August last year.

    In the first eight months, Imotska krajina recorded 19.770 arrivals and 144.644 overnight stays, which is an increase of 15% in arrivals and 8% in overnight stays compared to the same period last year. says Kolovrat.

    Guests from Germany are still the most loyal guests with 58.422 overnight stays, a decrease of 1% compared to last year. Poles are second with 18.937 overnight stays and a growth of 12%, guests from Great Britain are third with 11.156 overnight stays with a great growth of 28%, domestic guests are fourth in order with 8.737 overnight stays with an exceptional growth of 60%. Followed by the Netherlands, France, Austria, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark...

    "In addition to these indicators, we are also pleased with the significant increase in overnight stays from the Czech Republic (1.773 overnight stays, 42% growth), Hungary (1.672 overnight stays, 66% growth) and Slovenia (959 overnight stays, 22% growth). says Kolovrat.

    It is not surprising that tourists choose the Imotski Krajina because there are numerous cultural and historical sights, and the area is also known for its natural beauty, especially the Red and Blue Lakes. Recently, many landlords have built vacation homes with swimming pools, which is very attractive to tourists.
