In the Frankfurt-Bergen-Enkheim school, students are happy to attend Croatian classes, diligently study the Croatian language, geography and history, and yesterday they had the opportunity to show what they know in a slightly more creative way.
Parents, children and their teacher Marta Kozina marked the beginning of spring with a real Slavonian picnic.
Parents prepared and brought numerous Slavonian specialties, and students drew Slavonic cities and motifs based on old postcards.
There were beautiful recitations and stories about the Bećarac, the tambourine, the Šokak word and our dear Slavonian neighbors – Baranja and Srijemo.
Therefore, we can freely call this gathering a Slavonian-Baranja-Srijem picnic.
In addition to the regular school program, Croatian teaching organizes numerous extracurricular activities during the year - plays, excursions to the homeland, sports meetings, reading competitions, Christmas quizzes, Mother's Day workshops and other interesting events.
This is another example of successful and good cooperation of all participants without which there is no good school - students, parents and teachers.
