In the new, larger space, this will be possible in an even better and more diverse way. Soon, museum visitors will be able to participate at any time in drop in workshops, make your own chocolate souvenir and thus experience the experience of sweet creative engagement in the best way. In addition, the museum has additionally expanded and equipped the space for group tasting workshops and children's birthday parties (from March 2025), where visitors will be able to participate in the production of chocolate with an expert chocolatier. A big novelty is the launch of a chocolate factory, where visitors will be able to follow the process of producing various chocolate delicacies.
Domagoj Ilija Cerovac and Ruzica Bozic Cerovac, the founders of the Chocolate Museum Zagreb stated at the opening of the new location: “Six years have passed since the founding of the Chocolate Museum Zagreb, and during that period we have continuously grown, enriched the exhibition and refined the offer for our visitors. At one point, the old space began to limit us in terms of the ideas we had, so last year we finally decided to take this leap. Now, with almost double the area, we can offer visitors even more content, both historical and cultural, as well as direct work with chocolate. The frequently requested children's birthday parties and so-called drop-in workshops, where visitors will spontaneously be able to make their own chocolate, are starting soon. The gallery space has also grown, so we are planning regular special exhibitions. Last year, Tripadvisor declared us one of the top 10% of the best travel activities in the world. We hope that with this offer we will be able to surpass that even further. "
Numerous representatives of the media attended the event on the occasion of the move to the new space, where the management of the museum introduced them to the novelties and enabled them to experience the expanded, enriched museum assortment for the first time.

The chocolate we eat today was preceded by centuries of development of bean fermentation, grinding, conching and tempering. Until the 19th century, chocolate was consumed in liquid form, with various spices and extracts, until the first bar was made in a mold in 1848. The entire process is documented in the Chocolate Museum Zagreb, and the collection includes tools, chocolatiers, molds, packaging, and even early advertising materials from newspapers. The exhibition ends very symbolically, in a room with gifts for every occasion. The last room points to the widespread use of chocolate and its incredibly high demand. These are just additional reasons for every visitor to return to the beginning and once again, very concentrated, walk through each room.
