The American airline United Airlines has just announced the expansion of the seasonal route from Dubrovnik to New York/Newark, which will start three weeks earlier, on May 2, 2025, and will fly every day after the previous four times a week.
With this increase, there are twice as many seats available on flights in 2025.
"We are excited to announce the expansion of seasonal service from Dubrovnik to New York/Newark for the 2025 summer season, and enable our customers in Croatia to book their next trip to the US even earlier." said Marcel Fuchs, director of international sales for United Airlines.
"Our daily service from Dubrovnik will offer passengers a greater choice of travel and the possibility of seamless connections via our New York/Newark hub to 58 destinations across America."
This significant increase is the result of many years of efforts and negotiations with the carrier United.
"Through long-term cooperation and continuous investment in the improvement of services, we have achieved a significant step that will contribute both to Ruđer Bošković Airport and to the entire destination. In addition to the fact that we are the only airport in Croatia that is directly connected to the USA, we are honored that the increase in the number of flights on the Dubrovnik New York/Newark route is part of the largest international expansion in the history of this company." said Viktor Šober, director of Ruđer Bošković Airport.
