Abroad, where the elections for the Croatian Parliament are held over two days, on Tuesday and Wednesday, all the polling stations designated for the elections were opened on Tuesday, including those in Doha and Dubai, where the weather is extremely bad.
All polling stations are open, including those in Doha and Dubai, where heavy rain is falling and strong winds are blowing, the State Election Commission (DIP) announced on Tuesday.
There are not many voters at these polling stations, in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, 16 of them actively registered, and previously 42. These are voters with residence in Croatia who wanted to vote abroad, so they requested prior registration.
In Doha (Qatar), 15 voters actively registered, and previously 33.
The elections for the Croatian Parliament began on Monday at 23 pm Croatian time in Australia, and on Tuesday at 7 am polling stations opened in about 20 European countries.
Abroad, in the 11th constituency, which practically consists of the whole world, parliamentary elections are held in 41 countries, at 110 polling stations, and their opening, measured in Croatian time, is determined by the time zone in which they are located.
The list of countries where these elections are held includes China, Indonesia, Chile, Argentina, Canada, USA, etc.
Of the 110 polling stations abroad, the most are in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 43, of which four are in Orašje, where polling stations for parliamentary elections were opened for the first time.
Unlike the 2020 elections, there will be no voting in Finland, Japan, Israel and Ukraine, but there will be voting in Chile, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, and the Republic of South Africa.
In the 11th constituency, three out of 151 members of parliament are elected.
