On this Palm Sunday (Palm Sunday), the Boston Croatian community hosted educational experts from Split and Zadar to explore ways of connecting the innovation-centered Boston area with Croatia. The community also celebrated Easter early with an egg hunt for the children and a dinner for all. New England Friends of Croatia and Croatian School of Boston, the two organizations working together to foster Croatian-American exchanges and learning, focused on the topic of education in Croatia and for Croatians abroad, in elementary school as well as higher education.

Elementary School Teacher: Lucac Elementary School, Split
Ines Ivanovski, an awarded teacher who is also well known for her volunteer and humanitarian efforts, conducted workshops with teachers, sang with the children and led a discussion with Croatian parents to encourage them to speak the Croatian language with children who are living in bilingual environments.

Higher Education: University of Zadar, Tech Transfer Team
The team from the University of Zadar's Center for Projects, Science and Technology Transfer has visited various universities in the Boston area. This Sunday, the team consisting of Martin Zrilić, Anita Matek, Sabina Rako Juravić, and Katarina Kokić presented their current initiatives, including publishing scientific and professional papers and books, organization and participation in study visits, conferences, workshops and other educational and capacity building events, as well as conducting research, and the promotion of sciences. Boston Croatians, many of whom are part of Boston's innovation ecosystem, discussed the ways to collaborate in the future with both Boston-based organizations.

As always, with many Croatian communities, the workshops and discussion were followed by sharing food, this time after the children conducted an egg-hunt.
