Zlatan Stipišić Gibonni finally got his poetry book in Spanish.
Selected texts from a decade of his successful work were found in the book Banderas de un imperio hundido (Flags of a Sunken Empire), published in Puerto Rico by the publishing house Isla Negra.
The edition is intended for the South American market and Spanish-speaking countries, including the Hispanic population in the USA.
"We translated Gibonni's poetry and we want to present it throughout South America, because I think that in addition to being a music star, Gibonni is a real poet," said Carlos Roberto Gomez, a poet and university professor and editor of Isla Negra publishing house from Puerto Rico.
The book was printed in the Dominican Republic, from where it will be distributed throughout the Spanish-speaking countries.
The Spanish edition of Gibonni's poetry will be presented for the first time in the theater in Hvar on October 1 with the presence of the author himself, but also with a strong line-up of names who will recite Gibonni's poetry. By the way, a day later, on the occasion of City Day, Gibonni will hold a concert in Hvar.
