NIKOLA TESLA EV RALLY Croatian panoramic roads and hidden beauties delighted the participants!

This year's 11th edition of the most beautiful and quietest rally in the world "Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia 2024" ended on June 1, 2024 with the award ceremony and announcement of the winner in Šibenik!

The rally already traditionally started in Istria, with the participant accreditation ceremony in Rovinj on May 27, 2024, where a lot of fellow citizens and tourists gathered, and participants from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands even danced to Rim Tagi Dim and had a great time.

Visitors could see numerous e-vehicles, and with the DJ and hostesses, the atmosphere even carried away visitors from ships docking.

After the official start and the entertainment program, the participants went from Rovinj to the sports airport in Vrsar, "Aero-klub Vrsar", where electric horses competed in "drag races", and the most exciting was the one between two Tesla Model S Plaid which reached a speed of 0-100 km/h in less than 2 seconds.

After the sports competition, the day continued with the enjoyment of wine/gastro delicacies and a tour of cultural sights such as Park Kažuna, Brtonigla and Buja.

On the third day, the participants headed south, driving along the highway along the sea with stops in Senj and Zadar, and in Dugopolje they were "taken over" by the police and escorted to the ferry port, where they boarded Jadrolinija's ferry to the island of Brač, which also served as a base for the visit the island of Hvar and the Pakleni islands.

The rich cultural heritage of the city of Zadar, such as the church of St. Donata, the walk along Kalelarga to Pet Bunar and the Sea Organ and Salutation to the Sun are just some of the sights that delight participants every year.

On Brač, the participants visited Vidova Gora, the highest peak of the Adriatic, the monastery in the Blace desert, the stone museum in Pučišća and the oil museum, and they also tasted the famous Brač lamb. A special pleasure was a boat ride around the Pakleni Islands and a visit to the town of Hvar, where they visited the Fortica Fortress, the Cathedral of St. Stjepan and the Hvar Lodge.

In the last stage of the rally, after disembarking from the ferry, the vehicles remained on display at Gat sv. Peter's Basilica in Split, and the participants toured the city starting from Split's Riva via Marmontova, the statue of Grugur Ninski, where they made a wish by taking his big toe.

At the entrance to Diocletian's Palace, they were greeted by gladiators and many had fun pretending to fight before entering through the Golden Gate to tour the Cathedral of St. Duje, Peristyle and Vestibule and exited the Silver Gate on the way back to the vehicles. An unavoidable stopping point this year was Trogir, where they walked along the promenade along the sea all the way to the Cathedral of St. Lovre, Ćipiko palace and Kaštel Kamerlengo fortress.

The city of Šibenik was chosen for the festive finale this year, where the vehicles were exhibited on the Riva, while the participants toured the old center and cultural landmarks such as the Cathedral of St. Jakov and Four Wells. This year's gathering ended with the ceremonial announcement of the winners and the distribution of prizes during the festive dinner, and the winners will take back to their country not only a trophy, but also wonderful memories for a lifetime.

This year's route, 1.050 km long, passed through 6 counties, 5 National Parks and 14 cities, and participants from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands had the opportunity to enjoy the best that Croatia has to offer. Croatian panoramic roads, beautiful landscapes and hidden beauties that were visited on this year's route along with good food and entertainment did not leave anyone indifferent, and many already on the last day of the rally announced their arrival on the next one as well.

The natural beauty of Krka National Park and the Smiljan of our Nikola Tesla always delight the participants who return year after year.

This unique "electric" adventure, which successfully combines "e-mobility and tourism" for the eleventh year in a row, has become a recognizable brand throughout Europe and the world, and promotes Croatia as an "e-mobility friendly" tourist destination.

It has been recognized as such by Croatian institutions such as HTZ, FZOEU and numerous local tourist boards such as TZ Rovinj, and we are especially glad that Hrvatska Pošta joined us this year, which has the largest green fleet in Croatia more than 420 electric vehicles, and at the same time a network of charging stations for electric vehicles was developed, covering 115 cities with a total of 18 charging points, the organizers said.

The winners of "Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia 2024" are:

    1. Elisa and Alexander Goldberg (Germany)
    2. Laurens and Karel Lissendorp (Netherlands)
    3. Andreas and Birgitte Dobbertin (Germany)
