The monument to all Croatian veterans at the military training ground Josip Markić (ex Crvena zemlja) on Dinara will be unveiled this Sunday, August 4.
"With this, we will honor all veterans, not only members of the 4th Guards Brigade, because all veterans are responsible for our freedom", says Borislav Lav Lapenda, president of the Association of Veterans of the 4th Guards Brigade, for Croatians Online.
Before the opening, Lapenda revealed exclusively to Croatians Online what the monument will look like.
"The monument will be in the shape of the number 4, but I repeat that it was erected in honor of all those who defended the Motherland," notes Lapenda.
The monument's opening ceremony will be at 11 a.m., and transportation will be organized from Knin, as the road to the military training ground on Dinara is inaccessible for private cars.
Lapenda was a guest in the column "Liejepa naša Dalmacija" where he spoke about the days of pride and glory, the 29th anniversary of the Storm action, but also the current political situation, the relationship between politicians and veterans.
The opening of the monument will be the most beautiful prelude to the celebration of the Day of Victory and Homeland Gratitude and the Day of Croatian Veterans at the Fortress in Knin on August 5.
