On August 3rd, the editorial staff of Croatians Online hosted Maja Tomas from Split in their studio in New York. Host Damir Kolić spoke with this versatile artist, who expresses her impressions through poetry, artistic photography, singing and acting.
On the occasion of her guest appearance, it was just opened exhibition at One Art Space gallery in Manhattan where Maja exhibits her photos with artists from all over the world. Her work was chosen by the Italian art organization PitturiAmo, whose mission is to promote artists from all over the world - to the world.
Maja is a member of the Society of Croatian Writers, she has published seven books, and her works were dramatized into a theatrical story in which the author plays herself. It is about a monodrama called "When I Will Be Happy" with which Maja has performed throughout Croatia, Australia and New Zealand, and she would like to have the opportunity to perform it in New York and the United States in general.
Among her works, the poetry collection Moja svitanja stands out, in which 32 landscape and spiritual poems are accompanied by photographs of Split and sea motifs.
