On Thursday, the Croatian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina issued an invitation to register to all Croatian citizens who intend to exercise their right to vote on the day of the Croatian Parliament elections, reports Hina.
Voting for the new convocation of the Croatian Parliament in BiH will be organized on April 16 and 17 at the headquarters of diplomatic and consular missions in Sarajevo, Mostar, Tuzla, Banja Luka, Livno, Vitez and Orašje.
The Croatian Embassy's call for active voter registration states that it applies to Croatian citizens with residence in Croatia who will be in BiH on election day, as well as those without residence in Croatia.
Voters residing in Croatia who will not be in their place of residence on the day of the election if they wish to vote abroad can submit a "pre-registration request" to a diplomatic-consular representation abroad or to the competent administrative body in the county, i.e. the City of Zagreb, which maintains the voter register .
Voters who do not have a residence in Croatia, that is, permanently live in BiH, register to vote ex officio or upon personal request.
Those who have a Croatian identity card with a marked residence outside Croatia do not have to be actively registered, but will be officially registered for the country and consular area according to the address of residence abroad entered in the identity card.
Voters who, on the day of the election, will be in a consular area different from the one indicated in their identity card should submit a "request for changing the place of active registration".
Voters without a Croatian identity card should submit a "request for active registration" in order to be able to vote abroad or in Croatia.
All requests for active registration and requests to change the place of active registration are submitted to the nearest diplomatic-consular representation or the competent public administration office in Croatia if they will be in Croatia on election day.
Voters who have credentials and access to the e-Citizens application can also submit requests in this way.
The application deadline is April 6.
