"Light is life" is a well-known event in Šibenik that commemorates August 28, the day in 1895 when the people of Šibenik got public lighting with alternating current.
The people of Šibenik are proud that their city was the first in the world to get public lighting on alternating current back in the 19th century, but this information was rather shyly kept in the archives. It was like that until 2015, when Zoran Lučić Luca from Sibenik decided to organize an event in honor of the light of Sibenik.
Every year the event 'Light is Life', supported by the City and the Tourist Board together with the author Lučić, gathers thousands of guests, and the light effects on the Riva are a sight that leaves everyone breathless.
This year, when the event is being held for the 9th time, everything will again be about light with one important difference, this year there will be no fireworks.
The spectacle 'Light is life' starts this Wednesday at 20:20 and XNUMX minutes, when fantastic scenes of Šibenik illuminated by the light will be sent from Krešimir's town, known for its many landmarks.
