Marko Perković Thompson presents the official video for the song "Nepročitano pismo", with which he symbolically pays tribute to Ban Petar Zrinski. The video has already won the hearts of the audience and has made it to the YouTube trending list.
Inspired by a historical event from 1671, the song refers to the farewell letter that Ban Petar Zrinski dedicated to his beloved wife Katarina, the day before his execution, together with Fran Krsto Frankopan. Broken by grief, Katarina died in captivity in 1673, and their love became a symbol of the Croatian struggle for freedom. The song is marked by exceptional music, lyrics and production by Marko Perković Thompson, while the visual identity of the video further complements the strong emotional component of the song, creating a deep connection with the historical moment to which the song refers.
The video was shot at historical locations, including Old Town Ozalj, Old Town Čakovec, Ribnik Fortress and Medvedgrad, while the main roles are played by Mladen Vulić as Petar Zrinski, Kornelija Palić Papafava as Ana Katarina Zrinski and Davor Tarbuk as Fran Krsto Frankopan. Other roles went to Dubravko Lekić as a priest, Ante Rnić as an executioner, Luka Pedić and Ivan Capan as soldiers and Ivan Ivkošić, Una Popović, Anamarija Jonjić, Milan Palčić as horsemen.
The official video, which gives the impression of a real film about a piece of Croatian history, was directed by Marko Zeljković and Sandra Mihaljević, while the video production was realized by Sandra Mihaljević and Karpo Media.
