Popular Croatian musician, Marko Perkovic Thompson, presents a new song "Unread letter", which symbolically pays tribute to Ban Petar Zrinski. Within the first few hours of its publication, the song attracted a lot of attention—It has been viewed more than half a million times on YouTube. and took the top spot on YouTube trending, while the excellent reactions from listeners continue to arrive.
Inspired by a historical event from 1671, the song refers to the farewell letter that Ban Petar Zrinski dedicated to his beloved wife Katarina, the evening before his and Fran Krsto Frankopan's execution.
Lyrics, music and production are by Marko Perkovic Thompson, and collaborated on the arrangement with Anto Padovano i Duja IvićThe song was recorded in a studio. Karpo Media under the guidance Branimira i Marko Mihaljević, and the final mix is by Zarko Fabek Febo. The whole story is accompanied by a lyric video produced by Ive Čaise from CroRec Video, and the official music video is currently being filmed.
After a multi-year recording hiatus, Marko Perković Thompson is rapidly working on his next song and new studio album, which he will present to the audience this year.
