    Rome: "Woman of the Year" 2024 Awards.

    Cultural Association "Croatian-Italian Mosaic" Rome which brings together the largest number of Croats with its numerous activities and offers various activities in this city, every year awards recognition to women who, through their activities, have contributed the most to the spread of Croatian tradition and culture and the promotion of Croatia in general, in Italy.

    Alma Kumbarić and Tatjana Pavelić received the award this year.

    Alma Kumbarić is a woman who attaches great importance to the preservation and promotion of Croatian cultural heritage and tradition, both within her own Croatian-Italian family and outside it. She was born in Slavonski Brod, educated and gained work experience at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Zagreb, where she worked as a researcher until moving to Rome.

    In Rome, he continues scientific research and work at the University of Roma Tre, where he again defends his graduate theses and then his Doctoral dissertation in Biology (topics from the field of botany). She devotes her free time to a large number of activities, of which her favorite place is pastry making and cake design.

    She is an active member of the association and has participated in a large number of projects. She is married to an Italian and has two children. She made several presentations and lectures for the association: "Originally Croatian with women's čakule" Making licitar and pepperjacks, a lecture on Lavender, Molizaiko 7 and that's not the end. She made many cakes and tarts for every book presentation for Women's Day and other numerous Mozaik events, and on these occasions Croatian women in Rome had the opportunity to enjoy her cakes.

    Tatjana Pavelić is always ready to help and donate to the Croatian Italian Mosaic in Rome. Former student of oriental philology of the Arabic and Turkish languages. She dreamed of a job in the Middle East in her profession, which she never found. She met her husband in Rome. He works from 12 to 16 hours a day and does it all with passion and love. Her job is complex, requires seriousness, precision and dedication, but also skillful communication, and she has mastered all of this, which she considers her greatest success. We must mention that from the European to the World Cup in football, the Croatian Italian Mosaic Rome Association organizes the monitoring of all matches in the center of Rome thanks to Tanja's help, as well as the celebration of Women's Day. Today, Tanja Pavelić is a successful entrepreneur and owner of a restaurant, pizzeria, bar, wine bar and bookstore in the center of Rome.
