Andy Hartman’s Journey with a New Musical Set in Croatia

Sara Skoda got to talk with Andy Hartman, a vibrant performer and budding playwright, who has emerged as a promising talent fresh out of Northwestern University and has a really cool connection to Croatia.

Hartman’s connection to Croatia, adds a distinctive layer to his artistic narrative. During his time at Northwestern University, where he honed his craft and developed a deep passion for storytelling, Hartman encountered a group of ambitious creatives keen on producing a new musical. Their inspiration: The Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb, Croatia.

The Museum of Broken Relationships, nestled in the city of Zagreb, is a unique cultural institution that explores the emotional residue of failed relationships through donated personal objects and accompanying stories. It serves as a poignant reminder of the universal experiences of love, loss, and human connection.

Upon learning about the museum and its compelling premise, Hartman was immediately drawn to the idea of translating its poignant stories into a theatrical production.  Through intensive research, heartfelt conversations, and creative brainstorming sessions, the team worked tirelessly to capture the essence of the museum’s narrative and translate it into a compelling musical experience. One that will for sure captivate audiences once it is released to the public.  And as he continues to carve out his place in the world of performing arts, one thing is certain: Andy Hartman is a talent to watch.

To learn more about Andy and upcoming information on when this musical production will be released  to the public, check out his website.
