Decanter World Wine Awards just released the 2025 results, sharing info on all medal winners in this year’s competition. It’s distinguished panel of 248 top international experts, including 22 Master Sommeliers and 72 Masters of Wine – the most in the competition’s history, rated wines from 57 countries.
Croatian winemakers won a total of 384 medals making it the 8th country with the largest number of awards. “This is an impressive number, particularly in comparison to well-known wine countries,” stated Mirena Bagur, founder of Croatian Premium Wine Imports, an online retailer shipping over 100 Croatian wine labels to most US states. “Congratulations to all wineries with awarded medals. The more wineries submit, the more Croatia shows its winemaking strength, whether in European or US-based awards. Even though some wineries were conspicuously missing from this list, we are proud that most of 45 of the wineries we work with are, and we encourage all to continue to illustrate the quality of Croatian winemaking.”
