Croatian Canadian Astronomy Writer showcases New Book that Could Challenge Our Perception of the Universe

By Mark Plavetic

Croatians Online conducted a virtual interview with Miro Laus, an astronomy writer from Ontario, Canada, which showcased his new book, “The Croatian Barrel Theory: Origin of the Solar System and Theory of the First Cell on Earth.” Published on May 29, 2025, The Croatian Barrel Theory proposes unprecedented explanations about the origins of the universe that oppose the Big Bang Theory and uses the metaphor of a barrel (common in Croatian winemaking) to answer the unexplained questions about the cosmic and planetary formations, and how the stars, celestial bodies, and galaxies were created in a barrel-like state.

“My theory opposes the Big Bang Theory,” Miro said. “We have the shape of the barrel in space. If you look at Earth, everything is born by two units. You have electricity plus or minus. You have male and female. Male and female flowers, Male animals, and female animals. So, in space, everything is born on Earth; we can see that everything is born from two units. And everything is born in one chamber. So, I compare this with the situation in this space.”

Miro’s first theory proposes that the formation of the sun, planets, and satellites is all created from a concentration of gas formed in the shape of a barrel, which was created in outer space. According to this theory, all of the celestial items of the solar system – the sun, stars, and planets were born in outer space but were developed in concentrated space inside of a barrel of gas called gas “O” and “vacuouse dots” which are tiny units of matter or energy appearing in the vacuum of space between 70-1000 astronomical units (AU) and collected to form a shape of a barrel.

“First, the sun was born because of these “vacuouse dots.” Second, these dots were then collected in the barrel and cooled into the cold zone, where there was heavy pressure on this barrel. This cold pressure and barrel caused friction, and this friction caused heat, and this heat spread, and spread more around the barrel. My theory is that the Sun was born first in the cosmic barrel, then the galaxies, then stars, and then the planets and satellites.”

Model of the Croatian Barrel Theory

Miro also explains the causes of the friction leading to the heating to spread was through the energy source of a cosmic ball of energy linked to dark matter called the “transparent jelly ball (TJB)” The TJB is approximately 300-500 AU and was the source of energy that radiated heated in the barrel that disperses the celestial bodies from the chamber or “birth hole” where a fusion process started with electrons compressed in the middle of the chamber leading to the creation of galaxies out into outer space.

Miro explained, “When we got an empty chamber from the side of Fusion Zone, electrons were pushed in the middle of this chamber, and they started to rotate and collect the stars and galaxies that went out first from this chamber. We have questions about why galaxies went first for this chamber. They went first because of the thickness of this barrel in the middle around this empty chamber and were pushed out from the birth hole and hit by clusters of dark matter, which were hovering over the barrel and carried them off to their destinations. This is why we have a big number of stars that went out of this barrel.”

Along with his explanation of the Croatian barrel theory, Miro also provided a set of questions that were answered in his book, which he said the Big Bang Theory could not answer: Where does Earth’s water come from? Why does Venus rotate in the opposite direction?

Where does Earth’s water come from?

One of the theories that Miro mentions is that the first cell on Earth was formed in the air with the sun’s energy, not the combination of amino acids. His argument mentions the fact that there are 500 kinds of amino acids, and all are organic molecules, but the Earth was without organic life of plants or animals. “The first cell, by my theory, is formed from a water molecule from the energy of the sun, which pushed a lot of electrons and provided enough energy to create life on Earth,” Miro said. “This is why we had huge trees and animals due to the water molecule in the air, which combined electrons, neutrons, and protons of water from the bombardment of the sun’s energy, and the atomic cells, and grew large enough to develop animals and underwater vegetation.” Essentially, his theory states that instead of chemical bonding of the two hydrogen and one oxygen atoms to make H2O for water, they were fused into an H2O molecule during a period of fusion where they dripped from of the barrel during a period of cooling.

Why does Venus rotate in the opposite direction?

His theory also mentions the mysteries of the third planet of the solar system, Venus, and its retrograde rotation. According to Laus, his barrel model explains that Venus, along with the other planets, formed inside a rotating ‘birth chamber” where collisions collided outward from this chamber of the cosmic barrel, and Venus received more force on one side than the other, causing it to flip over and rotate in the opposite direction.” He uses an analogy of a coin flip, where if you flip a spinning coin over, it appears to rotate in the opposite direction.

Can Croatian Barrel help uncover the unknown?

The interview with Croatians Online also touched on broader questions about how this barrel theory could explain the unknowns of the universe. He uses the examples utilized by black holes and their formation caused by electrons at a fusion zone at the circler wheel formation and were pushed up from the birth hole of the barrel as like smoke coming off from a chimney. “Fr. Lemaitre once said that the universe is expanding, and this is true when you see through the Vera Rubin telescope in Chile, and [scientists] measured that the universe is really expanding. But back in the 1930s and 1940s, they didn’t have a stronger telescope, so they came up with the idea of a primeval atom, but that doesn’t work for me.” Miro stated that the primeval atom notion from the Big Bang Theory doesn’t fully explain the source of this energy, the gravity causing planets to collide, and the explosion caused by the atom.”

These theories are in “potential development”, and Miro hopes to create new questions in physics and mathematics and inspire new research discoveries using electricity and magnetism. “If one smart university professor starts to read this book and starts to talk to other people, they will change their minds and see that this is very important for universities they develop more questions in physics, mathematics, and electricity, in how many magnetic lines we call flux lines we have. They can figure out more mathematical problems and figure out more problems in physics,” said Miro.

Spreading the Word

Miro is currently reaching out to universities and astronomy clubs to share his barrel theory and his new book. He also aspires to engage with high school and college students and Croatian diaspora communities, about these theories to extend a boarder outreach, and have it translated into Croatian. “I also would like to reach out to the Croatian people and clubs,” Miro said, “ Right now, I’m looking to get my book translated into Croatian, and looking for somebody who is going to translate this book into Croatian because I have no time I other ideas, so I would like to find a translator.”
