The New York International Auto Show, one of the largest and most impressive autos shows in America just completed its weeklong run at NY Jacob Javits Center. Croatian car company Rimac was on the same stage with the most expensive luxury car legends the world has ever know including Lamborghini, Porche, Ferrari, Rolls Royce. Rimac’s Nevera was one of three new commers on that same stage. The other two were Sweden’s Koenigsegg a 3-million-dollar sport car baby, and Chinese-owned American producer of luxury electric vehicles named Karma. Rimac’s Nevera has all sorts of speed records including the Guiness Book of World Records as the fastest car to speed in reverse at 171.34 mph with Goran Drndak, at the helm, beating out Lamborghini. Croatia’s electric hyper car Nevera with its 2000 horsepower can launch to 100mph in 3.1 seconds, hit 200 mph from rest in less than 11 seconds and has a top speed of 256 mph. Nevera has a price tag of 2.5 million dollars and is represented by Manhattan Motor Cars and elite dealership. There were thousands of attendees at the auto show and Nevera had many eyes and cameras reflecting off its shiny body.
There were many impressive new cars, SUV’s, trucks at the auto show, including EV’s and Hybrids but Nevera and its peers are a work of art, a bit of a separate category with power to boot. Congratulations to Mate Rimac and his 1,500 employees who have reached a top category on the world stage.
