The 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games took place in Turin, Italy, from March 8 to 15! This historic event marks the first time Italy has hosted the Special Olympics World Games, welcoming athletes with intellectual disabilities from across the globe to showcase their incredible talents and determination in a spirit of unity and sportsmanship.

This year’s Games bring together an impressive 1,500 athletes representing 100 delegations, competing across eight thrilling sports:

- Figure Skating
- Short Track Speed Skating
- Floorball
- Dancesport
The spectacular Opening Ceremony took place at the renowned Inalpi Arena in Turin, setting the stage for an unforgettable competition. Athletes competed at top venues, including Palasport Tazzoli for skating, Melezet in Bardonecchia for snowboarding, and Pragelato Plan for cross-country skiing. With over 100,000 spectators and the dedication of 3,000 enthusiastic volunteers, the atmosphere is electric!
