Republikanac Donald Trump novi je predsjednik Sjedinjenih Američkih Država. Vijest o njegovoj uvjerljivoj pobjedi nad demokratskom kandidatkinjom Kamalom Harris mnogi Hrvati u Americi dočekali su s oduševljenjem. Svi oni koji ga podržavaju vjeruju kako će Trump staviti američke interese u središte vanjske politike, okončati ratove i donijeti mir svijetu. Smatraju i kako će novi predsjednik zaštititi tradicionalne američke vrijednosti, povećati nacionalnu sigurnost i potaknuti ekonomski rast.
Jedan od njih je Mario M. Kranjac, odvjetnik i bivši gradonačelnik u dva mandata Englewood Cliffsa u američkoj saveznoj državi New Jersey.
“I’m delighted that America elected Donald Trump as the next President. He has a clear vision for an America for everyone with fixed values and fixed beliefs grounded in the rule of law which will put America and the world in order once again”, rekao je Mario za Croatians Online.
Ishodom američkih izbora zadovoljna je i Ana Sikavica iz Hackensacka u New Yorku.
“A što da vam kažem, plakala sam od sreće ili olakšanja. Nadam se povratku Amerike na pravi put, temeljnim vrijednostima, padu inflacije, većoj ekonomskoj sigurnosti, zatvaranju granica, prestanku ratova i energetskoj neovisnosti. S optimizmom gledam na budućnost ove zemlje, što dugo nisam…”, rekla je Ana.
Pobjedi Donalda Trumpa veseli se i čitateljica Tatjana Bistre.
„As a proud Croatian American woman I couldn’t be any happier to see a President Trump victory and I look forward to watching him revive the American Dream, which is the reason my parents and I moved to this country from Croatia. With a booming economy, secure borders, and a healthier America, we will be able to thrive in one nation under god. It should be and always will be America First in this country”, rekla je Tatjana.
Da će pobjeda Donalda Trumpa donijeti puno toga dobroga Americi, ali i cijelom svijetu, vjeruje i umirovljenica Jelena Puljić.
“Htjela bih zahvaliti dragom Bogu i Duhu Svetome koji su mi dali osjećaj da trebam glasati za Trumpa. Prije nego što sam glasala išla sam se pomoliti Bogu. Rekla sam dođi Duše Sveti, pomozi mi i ako Trump pobijedi neka vodi našu novu Domovinu samo pravedno i pošteno, da nikada ne dozvoli da velike sile napadaju male zemlje i da prekine ubojstva nevinih naroda kako su nas probali uništiti, ali hvala Bogu nisu uspjeli, mi smo se junački obranili. Ako Bog da, on će sve to uspjeti. Probali su ga zatvoriti, probali su ga dvaput ubiti, nisu uspjeli jer Bog je uz njega. Neka Bog blagoslovi Trumpa i sve u njegovom Kabinetu da vode dobro i pravedno Ameriku”, rekla je Jelena.
Svoj osvrt na izbore podijelio je s nama i Danko Grgas s Floride.
“This request requires thorough thought, I’ll try to give you a non biased view as an independent voter. Ok I’ll start with VP Harris, in my opinion she got thrown into the lions den by the Democratic Party as the only choice two months prior to the national election and I didn’t see that she attempted to build herself as a formidable opponent to the Republicans constantly bashing Trump as the only way and not giving the nation her real view of the future if elected (on the TV sitcom VIEW) when asked what changes she would implement her answer was status quo therefore I believe that the nation was sick of the status quo. Lastly personally I couldn’t see her as a military leader of our great nation.
Now re: Trump, his drumbeat was constant economy, border crisis (illegal immigration),drugs foreign wars. etc. I think that the nation was listening to his sarcastic way and decided yes he is sarcastic among other things but at the end voters came out and decided overwhelmingly an honest election without any hiccups. That being said Trump in his first term as 45 internationally was very successful no other US president crossed the parallel between North Korea and the South he did with a handshake also the Abraham accord perhaps the world would not be in the mess that we are in. We as a nation must find a way to heal regardless who got elected and not chase to find a way to destroy our elected leaders that leads to only thing and that’s our own internal destruction at which our enemies are working on constantly“, rekao je Danko.
