Celebrating Heritage Through Sport: Naša Budućnost Hosts Successful Bocce Tournament

On Saturday, September 28th, on Long Island, NY, and despite the rain and wind, the Croatian-American diaspora organization Naša Budućnost celebrated their annual Bocce tournament, bringing together a vibrant community rooted in the traditions of Ilovik. Founded in the 1990s, Naša Budućnost aims to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of Croatians. The tournament featured a spirited competition with 16 teams participating. Players, some with ancestral ties to Ilovik and others hailing from various regions of Croatia, showcased their skills in this beloved game.
