By Mark Plavetic Croatians Online conducted a virtual interview with Miro Laus, an astronomy writer from Ontario, Canada, which showcased his new book, “The Croatian Barrel Theory: Origin of the Solar System and Theory of the First Cell on Earth.” Published on May 29, 2025, The Croatian Barrel Theory proposes unprecedented explanations about the origins of the universe that oppose the Big Bang Theory and uses the metaphor of a barrel (common in Croatian winemaking) to answer the unexplained questions about the cosmic and planetary formations, and how the stars, celestial bodies, and galaxies were created in a barrel-like state.

INTERVIEW Dr. sc. Hrvoje Mandić: Jedina “kultura sjećanja” koju trebamo njegovati je ona o komunističkim zločinima nad Hrvatima

Uoči njujorške promocije knjige “Rat nakon rata 1945.–1951. – Kazneni progoni jataka protukomunističke gerile u Hercegovini”, razgovarali smo s njezinim autorom, povjesničarom dr. sc. Hrvojem Mandićem. Dr. Mandić, rođen 1987. u Mostaru, doktorirao je 2020. na Fakultetu hrvatskih studija Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Senat potvrdio: Nicole McGraw nova je veleposlanica SAD-a u Hrvatskoj

Američki Senat potvrdio je imenovanje Nicole McGraw iz Floride na dužnost veleposlanice Sjedinjenih Američkih Država u Republici Hrvatskoj. McGraw je jedna od 107 kandidata predsjednika Donalda Trumpa koje je Senat odobrio u utorak navečer prema ubrzanoj proceduri. Paket nominacija, koji je prošao s 51 glasom za i 47 protiv, obuhvaća čelnike saveznih agencija, veleposlanike te savezne tužitelje. Ova odluka uslijedila je nakon višemjesečnog zastoja u potvrđivanju kandidata, zbog čega je Senat uveo pojednostavljenu proceduru glasovanja.
